Getting started with free ad exchange and script implementation
This section provides information on how to sign up for a free ad exchange account, how to create ads, and how to implement the adOne script to start promoting your website for free!
Step 1. Subscribe.
Subscribe to our free advertising service on www.adone.com.
Go to www.adone.com and select the sign-up page for the free ad exchange.
A. Complete the form with details such as your name, e-mail address and website URL.
B. Define the ad group and campaign name, and select the ad format.
C. Create the text for the ad, including the look and feel you’ve chosen for text ads.
D. Select the channels and countries you want your ad to target.
Step 2. Get the adOne script.
To promote your website, you will need to implement the adOne script into your website for the display of ads. During the sign-up procedure you can immediately get the script and implement it into your HTML pages where the ads are to be shown. You can also get the code if you login, select sites, click on the site description and select ”Get Script” from the table. We’ll also send you an e-mail with the login details and instructions.
Step 3. Copy the adOne script.
Using your mouse, select the complete script from start to finish and click ”Copy.”
We advise you to copy and paste the adOne script code with Notepad, which is available in every version of Microsoft Windows under ”Accessories.” Verify that the Notepad option “Wordwrap,” as shown in the format menu, is turned off.
Step 4. Paste the adOne script into each HTML page of your website where the ads are to be shown.
Use Notepad to open the HTML pages of the website you want to measure. Verify that the Notepad option “Wordwrap,” found in the format menu, is turned off. Paste the adOne script into the HTML page under the <body> - tag of each page on which advertisements are to be shown. Save the page with the adOne script.
If you’re using frames on your pages, place the adOnet script only on the content pages.

Step 5. Upload the HTML pages of your website that contain the adOne script.
Upload the HTML pages that contain the adOne script with a FTP program like you normally use with your HTML pages. You can also get a free FTP program at http://www.coreftp.com.
If this has been done correctly, you will see the adOne ads on your website. As soon as we show the ads on your website, we’ll start promoting it on different websites and drive visitors to your site.
If you have problems uploading your HTML pages, ask your hosting company or Internet provider for more details.
Step 6. We will start promoting your website for free!
Login and view the reports about your advertising campaigns. Go to www.adone.com and enter your account ID and password at the top of the page. You will now be able to see how many ads we’ve displayed on your website, how many ads we have shown on different websites to promote your website, how many clicks you get, and which websites drive the most traffic to your website.
